Presentations

Our custom built curriculum presentations are designed to teach students and drone club members the fundamentals of drone technology, principles of flight, flying a drone and more.

Project Introduction

This presentation introduces how the drone unit will be run in terms of material covered, structure of the unit (CADding, building, flying), and drone safety before students begin building. Classes will also form their teams for the unit of 4-6 students.

Parts of a Drone

In this presentation, stuednts will learn about the 7-8 basic parts of the drone that we will be building. Each slide corresponds to one of the drone parts in the Asteria Drone kit. Teachers are advised to show students each part as they are lecturing about it.

Principles of Flight

In the third presentation of the unit, students will learn about the basics of flight principles, not only for drones, but for general airplanes as well. They will get a light introduction to physics, including Bernoulli’s Principle and how drones operate on the three axes of flight.

Our Initial Flight

After students will have built their final drone, they will be ready to fly, but will need an introduction to safe drone flights. This presentation ensures students are operating their drones safely while teaching them basic start-up procedures.
